Stamp: OC And Roleplaying by Mewx50 Stamp: OC And Roleplaying by Mewx50

Well this is rather simple.

Don't go stealing other people's OC's for your stupid little roleplay.

It's not big, or clever, it makes you look stupid, especially when people tell you to remove it.

People make their OC with the intent of it being THEIR OC, not YOURS. YOU have no right to go and use their character like that.

If the owner WANTS their character roleplayed, they'll do it themselves.

-laughs- ok so let me understand this. It's ok for small fries to take extremely popular characters who are essentially someone's oc and use him/her for a RP and nobody bitches but as soon as someone takes a deviant's less popular character to use for a FAN-WORK with permission or not, it is considered theft? -laughs again- if only BBC or really popular writers used this stamp to protect their characters. It would show you how silly this looks. Honestly if someone used any of my ocs for a RP I would just ask if I could read it to amuse myself. As long as it isn't for profit there really should be no harm in fanworks.

Not to be rude or anything, but this sounds a LOT like you're pigeonholing other artists as pervy neckbeards who will do anything for online sex.

That's not what the stamp is about you know..
It's about people taking other people's OCs and using them for their role plays.
It has nothing to do with sex.

I am very protective of my OCs, like others are protective of their own OCs.

I'm the only one that can use my OCs in roleplay!!!!!!
GnommishReader Featured By Owner Oct 17, 2011  Hobbyist General Artist
I second this.

Not because I've personally had characters stolen None of my characters are good anyway. or roleplayed characters, but because it's plagiarism and downright lazy to steal someone else's character.
SquirrelMurasaki Featured By Owner Oct 17, 2011
Oh my... Did that happen to you?
Serza5 Featured By Owner Oct 17, 2011
This x infinity.

At least ask before you use them geez.
lucario515 Featured By Owner Oct 17, 2011
I approve of this idea. Seriously, that pisses me off when people go taking someone else's OC for an RP that doesn't even fit.
lythweird Featured By Owner Oct 16, 2011  Student Digital Artist

It's about time someone did this. I am fucking sick and tired of seeing people taking my art/OCs and using them for their shitty RPs. Facebook is a terrible site anyway, I really hate it and it's terrible RP fuel.

Is it really THAT HARD to create your own OC and do a little research for them? No, it's not.

Ugh, where has originality gone-- /rips hair out
BlueRosePetalsQueen Featured By Owner Oct 16, 2011  Hobbyist Digital Artist
To them they think its the right move to use other people's ocs in their shitty RPs and act like its a big deal I for once know this because some girl who is a 6th grade in my niece's school used my oc for her rp.
